This policy explains what Bidhound collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to https://bidhound.xyz.

What we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and profile picture. We never receive your Google password, and we do not ask for access to your Gmail, Drive or contacts.
• Saved searches. The filters you save so we know what to alert you about.
• Payment records. Subscription status and billing events. Card and bank details are handled entirely by Razorpay and never reach our servers.
• Basic technical logs. Standard server logs used to keep the site up and to investigate faults.

What we do with it

We use your email to send the alerts you asked for, a welcome message, messages about your subscription, and occasional notes about Bidhound itself: what has changed, what is new, and the odd thing we have learned about the board. That last kind you can stop at any time without losing the rest.

We use saved searches to decide what is worth alerting you about. We use payment records to know whether your subscription is active.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

Who else touches your data

We rely on a small number of providers to run the service: Google for sign in, Razorpay for payments, an email provider for delivery, and a cloud host for the servers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Email you can stop

Every alert carries a one click unsubscribe link, and you can delete a saved search at any time from your account. Every note about the product carries its own unsubscribe link, separate from the alert one, so turning off announcements never turns off the alerts you are paying for and turning off an alert never signs you up for anything. Messages strictly about your account or your payment are not marketing and are sent while your account exists.

How long we keep it

We keep account details while your account is open. Ask us to close it and we delete your account, your saved searches and your alert history, keeping only what tax and accounting rules require us to keep about a payment.

Your choices

Write to hello@bidhound.xyz to get a copy of what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. We will respond within thirty days.

Auction notices and the people named in them

Listings on Bidhound come from auction notices that banks publish publicly, and those notices sometimes contain names, addresses and photographs. We republish this public information so buyers can find it. If you appear in a notice and want it taken down from Bidhound, write to hello@bidhound.xyz and we will remove it from our board promptly. We cannot remove it from the bank's own publication.

Cookies

We set a cookie to keep you signed in and to remember your theme preference. We do not run third party advertising trackers.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and account data is held separately from the public auction board. No system is perfectly secure, so we do not claim otherwise.

Children

Bidhound is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
